Professor Amy J. Keely is an interdisciplinarian as an academic, award-winning marketer, and artist-philosopher. Often referred to as a 'Renaissance Woman', Amy seeks knowledge in a wide variety of disciplines. She likes to call it 'going down rabbit holes" to become a trusted advisor. She has taught courses in business, marketing, human resources, English and literature, photography, and fashion merchandising.

 

This unique perspective is what helped elevate her ideas, thereby forcing her to seek a new direction different from her experience in the corporate world.  Amy felt the need for an art-related degree different than her business and educational background that led her to the Institute for Doctorial Studies of the Visual Arts.. Her dissertation explores the idea of fashion philosophy and how it is linked with individual and cultural identity.

She has owned her own designer resale boutique that focused on selling only "authentic" designer brands, both newer gently-used, vintage, and antique items. Having lost money on counterfeits, she has become an expert on authenticating and brand histories. She continues to sell and authenticate via her Etsy shop - Upper Echelon Atelier.
